Happy Saturday!
We did something awesome last week and I just had to share. I mean, we do awesome things all the time, but this one was REALLY Freaking Awesome.
It all started about 4-5 years ago when my dad asked me to photoshop an old picture he had found of his Dad in his navy uniform. "It's all I want for my birthday this year"....he said that every year after as well....I'm not a very good daughter sometimes. This year I decided I should finally do it.
Here's the photo:
My Grandpa was such a handsome fella in his uniform! Side Note: That is NOT my Grandmother. It was my Grandfather's first wife, now you know what needed to be photoshopped. I remember Dad telling me about this and asking me if I could do it.
"Sure, no problem, I'll just crop her out" I said. Yeah.....
Of course, I said this before actually looking at the photo. Yikes, she is all up in this photo. I mean, she is in FRONT of him. You can't just crop that out...he'd be missing his entire left side! I needed some photoshop schoolin' and I needed it fast! Thank you YouTube! I found a great tutorial actually called "how to get rid of an ex in a picture". I followed the directions pretty much to a tee using tools and methods I didn't even know about! (If you guys want a tutorial on this, just ask) and with some SERIOUS help from Chad.......
TA DA!
Pretty cool right? I know what you're thinking...
"Wait, wasn't that just behind her and when you erased her it was still there?"
Okay, you probably aren't thinking that...just wanted to further emphasize how we RECREATED his entire left side! The clone tool is pretty much my best friend now. I love how it turned out and my dad was so shocked!
1) Because I had FINALLY done the photo for his birthday
2) because it looked so good, you couldn't even tell she was ever there!
What do you think? Does it look legit? Got any photos that you want the ex removed? I'm thinking about offering this as a service.
Ex-Removal...because sometimes it just doesn't work out. Catchy right?
